Friday - Swimming and traditional fish and chips dinner

On Friday, we went to class as usual. We learned a lot of English and we had great fun. In the afternoon we went to the swimming pool. It was an awesome pool with two slides. We spent a couple of hours in the swimming pool, so we were very tired after that. We walked along the sea front of Portsmouth until we reached the Fish&Chips restaurant. We had our meal there following the British Friday's tradition. When we finished our fish and chips, which was delicious we went to a park to play Rounders, we had a great time in the park. At about 9 o'clock, we went back to the Hall of Residence and went to sleep, as we were really exhausted.

Arts & Crafts and Victoria Park

Yesterday, in the morning we did the same as every morning but at break time some students played the piano of university's cafeteria. They started to play some songs that they know so they created a very nice atmosphere.
In the afternoon we had a very funny activity; it was a fashion show, we split up in different groups and we had to create something like a landscape, buildings or clothes but the condition was that it had to be in 3D and it also had to be about Portsmouth.
In the evening activities the students showed the projects to the rest of the students and then the teachers had to choose the winner.  Anna Pla, Mariona Carrillo and Clàudia Caro won the first prize by making a 3D Spinaker tower, which is one of  Portsmouth's landmarks.
When we finished the arts and crafts activity at university we went to the park to have a little time to relax. When we arrived there our English teachers said that if we wanted we could go to buy some ice cream or cupcakes in a shop nearby.  I bought an Oreo cupcake that  was incredibly delicious also my friends let me taste their cupcakes and they were incredibly awesome. They were a cupcake of Minnie Mouse and one of the Cookie Monster. The only problem is that when you finish eating it you are really thirsty but if you have the opportunity to eat a cupcake as the one I ate please don't miss the chance because I think that my friends and me fell in love with that little piece of dessert.
After that we watched a film called Expelled; the main character is Cameron Dallas. In my opinion the film was really funny but I didn't have that feelling that makes you say "wow it's amazing" but we had a great time so that is the important thing. After the film we went back to our rooms and went to sleep.

Arundel Castle

Yesterday (Wednesday), we had breakfast and later we went to school. At half past twelve, when we finished school, we went to have lunch at the Union building. After lunch, we went to our rooms until  two o'clock; then we went to Arundel castle by coach. Arundel castle is a restored medieval and a stately home in Arundel.  In the castle we saw an amazing library and the rooms where the Queen slept when she came to visit the Earl of Norfolk.
We saw the dungeon and the moat, we could imagine who it felt like living in a castle at that time. The views from the highest tower were awesome; we could see the greenish landscape by the river Arun.   The gardens were very well preserved but they were so big that we couldn't see them all.
The castle closes at 5, so we went back to the coach, but we had to wait for another one as  all of us didn't fit in just one coach. When we arrived, we had dinner and went to rest for a while, then we came back to the Union building and played a Scavenger Hunt game. We enjoyed it  and we went to bed very tired.

Portsmouth Museum and disco night!

Yesterday (Tuesday), we had breakfast and later we went to school. At half past twelve, when we finished school, we went to have lunch at the Union building. After lunch, we went to our rooms until half past two. Then, we went to the Museum of Portsmouth with our Turkish friends. We had some activities with them. First, we had a speed dating activity. We introduced ourselves and talked a little about our interests and hobbies. Then, we went into the museum and we completed a trail activity. We had some questions that we had to answer while we were visiting the exhibition.
After that, we went shopping to the city centre and, at about six, we went to have dinner at the Union. After dinner, we went to our rooms and got dressed up for the disco. We had a really good time.
At ten o'clock, we said goodbye to some of the Italians that were leaving and at eleven o'clock everybody went to bed.
