Monday, our last day in England

Yesterday was our last day in Portsmouth.
In the morning we had our lessons, but we played some games to make them a little different. At the end of the class, the teachers gave us our certificates. It was fun, beacuse the Germans and the Turkish were at the ceremony, looking at us and having a good time with us.
After lunch, some people went to buy the last things before leaving. In my case, I bought some cupcakes for the trip. When we went back to our rooms we realised that the cleaning ladies had made our rooms. We finished packing our luggage and got ready to go to Gatwick airport. We were really sad because we didn't want to leave.
We arrived at the airport on time, but the plane was delayed and that's why we arrived a bit later in Barcelona.

Sunday - Isle of Wight

On our last Sunday in Portsmouth, we went to the Isle of Wight. We got up very early, as always. We took a hovercraft. The trip lasted ten minutes, it is amazing to see how it travels on water.
Once there we took a bus from Ryde to Newport, then another one from Newport to Yarmouth, and then to Alum Bay. Alum Bay is a sandy coloured beach, you can take a whirlchair to reach the beach or go down on foot. Some students took the ride and had a great time.
We went to see the Needles from a view point. It was awesome to see this row of three chalk rocks standing on line with a lighthouse at the end.
Back to Alum bay we had some free time to have luch and walk around the area. Some of us went sourvenir hunting and others spent their time walking around the area and enjoying the rides.
At two o'clock we caught the coaster bus and drove around the island. We stopped at Sandown, where we had an icecream and some of us puddled in the cold Atlantic sea.
We returned to Ryde and had a great English Sunday meal at a restaurant, then we took the hovercraft again and we went back to Portsmouth, finally we went to our rooms to pack and sleep after a long day.

Saturday - London!!

Last Saturday, we went to London by train. First we went to Buckingham Palace and we saw the Changing of the Guards. Then we crossed St. James'  Park and we arrived at 10 Downing Street, we walked a bit more and reached the Houses of Parliament and the Big Ben.  We had lunch in front of Westminster Abbey. After that we crossed the bridge so we could see the Houses of Parliament from the other side of the river, we walked by the southbank riverside to see the London Eye. Later we walked along the riverside until we reached the Tate Modern. Just walking along we  saw different disguised people imitating the Royal Guards, Jack Sparrow,,, like the ones we have in the Ramblas.
Then we crossed the Millenium Bridge, from there we could see Tower Bridge and the Globe which is Shakespeare's theatre. When we reached the other side of the bridge, we saw St. Paul's Cathedral.  From St. Paul's we went to Covent Garden by tube, it was exciting.
Once in Covent Garden, we had some time for shooping then we walked back to Leicester Square, we bought some M&M's and caught the tube back to Victoria Station. We bought our dinner in McDonalds and we came back to Portsmouth at 10 o'clock. We were exhausted, we walked a lot but we were really excited because we enjoyed it very much.
